This is an original set of Yamanaka-nuri marital chazuke bowls and a pair of spoons.

 

 

 

Chazuke bowls are painted in Hakeme-nuri (brushwork lacquer), as opposed to Shin-nuri (glossy lacquer), and although these bowls have a rough appearance, you will grow attached to them as you use them. It can be used not only as a bowl, but also as a rice bowl, mixed rice, salad bowl, etc., and can be used for various purposes with any ingredients.

 

 

The large bowl is made of wood and measures 12.2 cm in diameter and 8 cm in height. Our customers say that it is easy to use and perfect for daily miso soup or tonjiru (pork miso soup with lots of ingredients). The delicate base and the modern shape of the bowl are both soft and gentle. The Akebono-nuri lacquerware is a deep and vivid ancient red and black with a hint of red peeking through. Enjoy the tasteful hues while savoring the delicacies. The most attractive feature of this dish is the glossy comfort of the lacquer, which is the result of the craftsman’s time and effort.

 

And set with the multi-purpose bowl is a Yamanaka-nuri rice spoon. This spoon can also be used as a curry spoon. Unlike metal, the lacquered spoon is smooth and comfortable to use.
